Tips to save money on your wedding

1 .Season
Make sure you are choosing seasonal flowers. If you want lily of the valley in August be prepared to pay four times more than in May. Check what is in season before order.

2. Quantity
Have a think about how many bridesmaids, buttonholes,pew ends, tables, etc. you will have. You’ll be amazed at how the price of your wedding builds up when you add multipliers.

eg: If you like to have pew ends in church or the venue , the price starts at about $10 each. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but if you will need 20 of them, so that’s already $200! We always recommend to have only every second pew end decorated, as this way you can reduce the cost by half. What about your table arrangements. $100 each? Times that by 12. That’s $1200. Why not use large size tables which seats more hence less number of tables.

3. Size
Is your venue very big? Do you need to fill up the space with big arrangements, or is it enough to have just small table centres? The price of a big arrangement will start from $80, depending on the flowers and design, compared to as little $40 for a small table centre. Think big, but the art of subtlety can never be over-exaggerated.

4. Church flowers
Traditionally brides want to have flower decorations at the church, as they look beautiful and special. If you need to operate within a strict budget, don’t think too much about the Church flowers. The ceremony usually only lasts about 30 to 60 minutes, so make sure you don’t spend all your money on church flowers as you won’t see much of them! If you want church flowers, then our advice would be to collect the arrangements after the ceremony and deliver them to your reception. You’ll go further with your money, and get to enjoy more flowers later in the day!

5. Returnable vase
You can always afford large centerpiece/s for your table decoration. Just ask your florist if the vase can be returnable. It will look beautiful and be cheaper.
